FOLIC ACID 1.5 MG + FERROUS ASCORBATE 100 MG + ZINC 22.5 MG is a combination of three medicines: Folic acid, Ferrous ascorbate and Zinc. Folic acid and ferrous Ascorbate belong to the group of medicines known as haematinics (Iron supplements) and Zinc is a mineral supplement. FOLIC ACID 1.5 MG + FERROUS ASCORBATE 100 MG + ZINC 22.5 MG is used to treat iron deficiency anaemia and to prevent folic acid deficiency.

It is not necessary for all people to experience the above side-effects.
- FOLIC ACID 1.5 MG + FERROUS ASCORBATE 100 MG + ZINC 22.5 MG can be taken irrespective of meals but it is advised to take FOLIC ACID 1.5 MG + FERROUS ASCORBATE 100 MG + ZINC 22.5 MG after food to avoid gastrointestinal side-effects such as stomach upset.
- Do not take FOLIC ACID 1.5 MG + FERROUS ASCORBATE 100 MG + ZINC 22.5 MG if you are receiving iron intravenously, if you are receiving blood transfusions, or if you have a disorder known as haemochromatosis (excessive absorption and storage of iron).
- FOLIC ACID 1.5 MG + FERROUS ASCORBATE 100 MG + ZINC 22.5 MG should be swallowed as a whole. Do not chew or keep the medicines in the mouth as it could lead to tooth discoloration and mouth ulceration.
- You are advised to take Vitamin C and meat products as they help in increasing the absorption of FOLIC ACID 1.5 MG + FERROUS ASCORBATE 100 MG + ZINC 22.5 MG.
- Products such as milk, coffee, tea, whole grains and eggs can decrease the absorption of FOLIC ACID 1.5 MG + FERROUS ASCORBATE 100 MG + ZINC 22.5 MG.
- You are recommended to maintain a minimum gap of 1-2 hours between FOLIC ACID 1.5 MG + FERROUS ASCORBATE 100 MG + ZINC 22.5 MG and the above listed products.
